When judgment frightens you

When someone points out to one of our flaws, a character limit or behaviour that is considered incorrect, we react. We feel judged, we often feel hurt. Things are not always told to us in the most respectful way. Yet these are valuable feedbacks, especially if they come from those who love us, which should push us towards greater attention to those parts of us that we are little aware of. Bringing light into the dark favours a process of change that always starts from accepting what is there at that moment. We can only heal if we are able to see ourselves for who we are. We can only fix what we are aware of. This is the most important result that a personal growth path can produce.
